Slack asks become tasks. Promises too.

Buddy reads the channels you pick, and your DMs and mentions if you want. A coworker's ask lands on your list with its screenshot and deadline, news lands on the task it's about, and Buddy never posts a word.

@you the PDF export breaks on Safari, can you take a look?

News lands on the task it's about

When someone moves a deadline, gives advice or says it's done, the update shows on your task, highlighted until you've seen it. Your own "fixed it" closes the task.

Promises, tracked both ways

What you promise becomes your task. What someone promises you becomes "Waiting on", with a nudge if nothing comes, and it closes when they deliver.

Questions

Does Buddy post in Slack?

Never. Buddy only reads. Nothing is posted, reacted to or sent from your account.

What does Buddy read?

Only the channels you pick, plus your direct messages and mentions if you turn them on. A message you put a 📌 on is read when you pin it.

How long are messages kept?

Buddy keeps the messages it reads for two weeks, as context for the next ones, then deletes them.

Does my workspace admin need to approve it?

If your workspace requires approval for apps, an admin approves Buddy once. Then anyone can connect.

What does it cost?

Reading Slack is a background feature charged for what it uses, with no daily fee. You can turn it off at any time.
